*All the information you need

  • This is a time for Pastors and Educators of the Nevada-Utah Conference to come together be encouraged, challenged, and inspired by music, speakers/presenters, and trainings, while enjoying the fellowship of one another.

  • All Conference-funded Pastors and Educators of the Nevada-Utah Conference and their families. Workers Meetings are required for all employees.

    Spouses – please let us know if your spouse is attending.

    Childcare – please let us know if your child(ren) will be attending and their ages, so we can plan accordingly. Childcare is available for children 4 years +.

  • Opening Session & Welcome Reception – Sunday August 18, 2024, at 6pm. Closing session is Tuesday August 20 at 5pm. (Time of fellowship at the Reno Aces Baseball Game to follow). Plan to travel home on Wednesday August 21, 2024.

    Worships and Plenary Sessions will take place in the Nevada-Utah Conference Office Conference Room (10475 Double R Blvd Reno, NV 89521)

    Educators—your breakout sessions will take place at the Hampton Inn & Suites (10599 Professional Cir, Reno, NV 89511)—within walking distance of the Conference Office.

    Pastors—your breakout sessions will take place in the NUC Conference Office Conference Room (10475 Double R Blvd Reno, NV 89521)

  • HOTELS –Reservations have been secured and paid for, for all ***Pastors and

    Educators and their families, by the Nevada-Utah Conference. You will need to supply a credit card for your room incidentals. It is your responsibility to reach out to the hotel and secure the type of room that you will be needing. We have secured both King rooms, and rooms with two (queens), it will be first come, first served basis. Parking is free onsite. Both hotels are located directly behind the NUC Conference office (no more than a 1–2-minute walk).

    Pastors—your rooms have been reserved at the Staybridge Suites IGH Hotel (10559 Professional Cir, Reno, NV 89521). You are responsible for clicking the link and securing the room that best works for you and/or your family.

    We have reserved King rooms and rooms with two (2) Queen beds. The cutoff date for booking is July 1, 2024.

    Educators – your rooms have been reserved at the Hampton Inn & Suites (10599 Professional Cir, Reno, NV 89511)

    You are responsible for calling the hotel and securing the room that best works for you and/or your family.

    Please call the hotel directly to reserve room at 775-336-2222 and share that you are with the Nevada Utah Conference. We have reserved King rooms and rooms with two (2) Queen beds. Cutoff date for booking is July 1, 2024.

    ***Local Pastors/Educators –should you desire to stay in a hotel, please let us know ASAP, otherwise we thank you for choosing to stay at home for your connivence and comfort. As an incentive, will be compensated $50/night for doing so

    1. Should you require immediate reimbursement or an advance to make travel arrangements, please submit your requests/receipts to payroll@nevadautah.org.

    2. Should you choose to wait until after you return home, your car rental, plane ticket, train ticket, etc., receipts may be turned in on your Workers Report/Reimbursement forms, for reimbursement. Please submit all reimbursement items no later than September 1, 2024, to payroll@nevadautah.org.

  • Please come dressed comfortably. Be sure to check the local Reno weather for that week.

    We would like to take new headshots for (y)our credentials/website, so please plan accordingly (dress shirt, tie, jacket, blouse, etc.)

  • Let us know that you will be joining us, as well as any family members who may be accompanying you. Workers Meetings are required for all Conference-funded employees.

  • You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements. You may travel by plane, train, or automobile to Reno, NV.

    Airplane – We will cover up to $500 for YOUR plane ticket. Should your family choose to come with you, please choose one of the other travel options. Within the Nevada-Utah region, we have found that Southwest Airlines and Delta to be most cost effective.

    If you need to park your car or take a rideshare (uber/lyft, etc.) at/to the airport, please be sure to turn in a receipt for reimbursement.

    Car – Should your family come with you, please rent a car. Fuel costs are covered, submit receipts. The General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has supplied car rental codes so that you can rent a vehicle at a discounted rate. (By the way, you can use these codes for personal/work travel at any time). *NO Luxury Rentals*

    Personal Car – Should you choose to drive your own vehicle; you will be reimbursed for mileage ONLY. The current mileage rate is $0.50

    Train – We will cover up to $200 for your train ticket. Tickets from Salt Lake City and Las Vegas range from $24 - $150 and run several times for the day. Average trip duration 6-8 hours. Tickets can be purchased through AMTRAK.

    If you need to park your car or take a rideshare (uber/lyft, etc.) at/to the train station, to turn in a receipt for reimbursement.

  • When you book your ticket, please let us know when you will be coming/leaving, so we can arrange a pick-up/drop-off time for you. The hotels do not offer shuttle services.

  • Sunday August 18th and Wednesday August 21st are designated travel days. You are allowed to claim per diem for yourself and/or family. Be sure to RSVP, so we can give you an envelope upon your arrival. (You will receive this cash, when you claim your welcome swag bag on Sunday evening) Current Per Diem rates are; $58/per day- for employee - and $29/per day, per family member.

  • Most necessities are within walking distance of your hotel/the Conference Office. Rides can be made available, should you need to acquire something further than walking distance, be sure to let the Conference Staff know.

    Note: Uber/Lyft/Taxis or other ride shares are not reimbursable. For any specified events/programming planned by the Conference, transportation will be provided.

  • A welcome reception will take place on Sunday August 18th at 6pm, at the Conference Office.

    Hotels provide breakfast buffets, and Lunch meals will be provided by the Conference Office.

    Monday evening will be dinner on your own, and on

    Tuesday evening, should you attend the Reno Aces Baseball game, a meal will be provided, otherwise, it will be a meal on your own.

  • In your Swag bag that you’ll receive upon your arrival, you will be given a map to the city with all the key places mapped out—from food to shopping to family friendly entertainment. You can also feel free to do your own research on the “what to do in Reno/Sparks” area.

    On Tuesday August 20th at 5pm, the Nevada-Utah Conference has planned a time of fellowship through attending a Reno Aces Baseball Game. Please let us know ASAP so that tickets can be purchased—we will cover the cost of this outing. Should you desire to bring additionally family members (grandparents, adult children outside of the home, etc.), the cost is $40/adult, $25/children. Children under 3 are FREE!
